Nuthatch Patch

Our patch has been meeting every Tuesday at the home of Carmen Easter.

If anyone in the surrounding area's would like to join in the fun, give

Carmen a call at 509 292-0405.The Nut Hatch Patch is located on the other

side of the mountains in Chattaroy, which is north of Spokane.

The Nuthatch Patch is blooming with the addition of a new artist. Susan  Sawatsky, a WA Gourd Society member from Spokane, joined Patty Vanderhoof and myself to work on gourds, share ideas and stories. We look forward to our time together since friendship has become the “frosting on the gourd” for us.

I am looking forward to attending the Leiser Gourd Festival and taking classes from Bonnie Gibson & Pamela Red Hawk!!!
It is hard to believe that barely a year ago I was clueless to the joys of art on gourds and all the wonderful people I have met.
A special thank you to Myrna and the board for making WA Gourd Society happen. Because of their vision and dedication we now have a way to connect with others who share our love for creating gourd art. Whoever would have thought our "family" would grow so quickly?

Here are some pictures from the last gourd gathering (2nd Week in April 2009) for the Nut Hatch Gourd Patch in Spokane!
