Washington State Gourd PatchesGourd Patches are nothing more than a way to meet other gourders in your area, informal get together's to gourd and learn new techniques and to just have fun with like minded people..(Non gourders sometimes have a hard time understanding our passion when it comes to working with gourds!). You can name your gourd patch if you want..you can make it as informal or formal as you want! It's your patch! When you do establish a patch in your area, let us know what you are up to and we will gladly add your news to the website and newsletter! If your interested in forming a patch go to the membership page and look at the maps, find the people in your area and click on their name in the left column to send them an email. Have fun! Myrna Grigsby, President Here are some great tips from the American Gourd Society on starting a Gourd Patch http://www.americangourdsociety.org/gourdpatch.html
I created this map with 7 possible Gourd Patches, this is in no way set in stone. I was just grouping people that are somewhat close to each other around the state. This was done to keep the commute under an hour or two of a meeting place.
The dark blue area below is the North Sound Gourd Patch. The orange area below is the Crystal Gourd Patch. The light translucent blue area is the NutHatch Patch.
