CLASSES
WSGS Gourd Retreat
JULY 16-18, 2025 The Washington State Gourd Society will be hosting our Second Annual Gourd Retreat. We are excited to gather at the same beautiful location right in the shadow of Mt. Rainer on July 16-18. The Mineral Lake Conference Center is located on Mineral Lake. Not only are 5 classes being offered, we are going to enjoy a gourd art show (non-judged) and also welcome John Crull, who will be bringing his gourd instrument(s) and singer/songwriter, Becky Rowe who will perform using the instruments John provides. A unique treat like no other. Breakfast and Lunch are included on the day(s) of taking classes. Be sure to register as soon as possible.

Here the wildlife is bountiful, the landscape breathtaking and fabulous views of Mt. Rainier a plenty. Mineral Lake Lodge was originally built in 1906 as a high-brow wilderness retreat for the fiscal elite of Seattle and Tacoma and is now hosting gourd enthusiasts for a retreat like no other. Overlooking beautiful Mineral Lake, the 3 ½ acre site has 215 feet of pristine, private waterfront. At the end of the day, one can enjoy a campfire down at the lakeshore - wood and s’mores makings are provided. While you are here you may wish to take in the experience of visiting Mt. Rainier National Park right in our backyard.
The retreat is set for JULY 16th - 18th, 2025 (The dates were changed due to Welburn Gourd Farm having a Festival at the same time we scheduled to have ours.)
